Charles E. Krug, 79, of Harrisburg, IL., formerly of Hardin County, passed away Friday May 4, 2018 at Harrisburg Medical Center. He was retired from the United States Army after serving 15 years and 4 months.
He was an active member of the NRA, National Sheriff's Association as well as many other charitable organizations. He was also a proud supporter of the blue line and all fallen heroes.
Survivors include his children, Tammy Church of Missouri, Roy Church of Harrisburg, IL., Andy Church of Harrisburg, IL. and Jerry Church of Rosiclare, IL.; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Francis Krug and parents, Casper E. and Viola Mary Ann Krug.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Hardin County Funeral Service, Cox Chapel, in Rosiclare, IL. with interment in Peters Creek Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until service time
Tuesday at the funeral home.
Military rites will be given at the cemetery on Tuesday.
