Charles Dalton Jr., 83, of Metropolis, IL. passed away on Friday August 24, 2012 at 7:48 A.M. at South Gate Health Care Center in Metropolis, IL. He was born in Rosiclare, IL. on December 29, 1928 to Charles Dalton and Addie ( Davis ) Dalton. He was a member of Woodman of America and a retired school teacher.
He is survived by a Daughter: Christal & Thomas Korner of Metropolis, IL.; Son: Timothy Dalton of Justice, IL.; Bother: Galen and Mary Dalton of Harrisburg, IL.; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded by his Wife: Galena Dalton; Brother: Paul Dean Dalton; and his parents.
Hardin County Funeral Services, Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday August 30, 2012 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be graveside, Cave Hill Cemetery, at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Jeff Stone will officiate the services.
