Charles Richard Brantley

April 10, 1933 — November 28, 2022

Rev. Charles Richard Brantley, 89, of Marion, KY died November 28, 2022 at Crittenden Community Hospital. He was a member of Marion United Methodist Church, a Kentucky Colonel and a United States Army Veteran. Charles also had a love for music and was instrumental in the forming of and performing in the gospel quartet "Southern Sound."
Survivors include his wife, Doris Brantley of Marion, KY; children, Richard (Connie) Brantley of Paducah, KY and Patty Croft of Ledbetter, KY; grandchildren, Rachel Guess, Brandon Croft, Lucas Croft, Chelsea Wiggins and Courtney Brantley and great grandchildren, Devin Guess, Kaylee Guess, Foster Croft, Silas Croft and Caraline Wiggins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Link and Ruby Brantley and brother, Kenneth Brantley.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Thursday December 1, 2022 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Mapleview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to Kentucky United Methodist Children's Homes, 1115 Ashgrove Road, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
