Carmel Ray "Possum" Simmons

Carmel Ray "Possum" Simmons, 50, of Cave-In-Rock, Illinois died Friday at St. Johns' Mercy Medical in St. Louis, MO.
He is survived by his brother, James Simmons of Cave-In-Rock, IL; sisters, Della Mae Simmons of Rosiclare, IL and Carolyn Frayser of Grand Chain, IL. and 6 nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents Lewis R. "Possum" and Rowena Brookmyer Simmons.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Monday at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave-In-Rock, IL with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-9 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
