Billy Joe Rushing

Billy Joe Rushing age 83 went home to be with the lord June 7th 2018, He was the song leader at Piney Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was also a founding and Charter Member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Rushing was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was a retired coal miner form Island Creek Coal Company.

Mr. Rushing is survived by his wife of 59 years Thelma Jean (Tootie) Rushing a son Greg (Phyllis) Rushing of Marion, Kentucky a Daughter Vicki (Joe) Sanderson of Frankfort, Kentucky, Grandchildren Corey Rushing of Marion, Kentucky, Courtney (Larry) Morse of Princeton, Kentucky, Shelly (Kenneth) Conger of Marion, Kentucky, Josh (Amber) Jackson of Irvington, Kentucky and six Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Rushing was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Dorothy Rushing, Two sisters Sherill Rushing Hodge and Paulette Rushing

Funeral services for Mr. Rushing will be held 2:00pm Sunday June 10, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, Kentucky, friends may call from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday June 9, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Crayne Cemetery.
