Betty L Griffith

Betty Griffith, 84, of Elizabethtown, IL. went to be with the Lord Wednesday May 23, 2018.
She was a cook at Hardin County Schools for 32 plus years, Charter Member of the First General Baptist Church of Elizabethtown, IL., very active in PTO and a member of the
Ohio Valley General Baptist Association.
Survivors include her children, Paula (Glenn) Samford of Cadiz, KY.; Rita (John) McKinley of Eddyville, IL., Jane Griffith of Eddyville, IL., Jean Davis of Panama City, FL.; Gary Griffith of Elizabethtown, IL.;
grandchildren, Eva-Rae (Damon) Hall, Julie (Gary) Roper, Dax (Michelle) Samford, Rachel (Justin) Kizziah, Walter (Traci) Griffith and Calvin Griffith; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Midge (Bernard) Volkert of Elgin, IL.
and sister-in-law, Wanda Shadowens of Howell, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mabel Shadowens and brother, Lenard Shadowens.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Friday May 25, 2018 at the First General Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, IL. with interment in Empire Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until service time Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Empire Cemetery.
