Barbara Gene Mayes, 71, of Marion, KY died Tuesday at Crittenden Health Systems in Marion, KY. She was a member of New Hope Church.
Surviving is her daughter, Paula G. Phelps of Salem, KY; sons, Paul E. Mayes of Cullman, Alabama and James R. Mayes of Marion, KY; mother, Imagene Brantley of Marion, KY; brothers, James Henry Brantley and William Clayton Brantley both of Sturgis, KY; 17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Mayes; father, James Clayton Brantley; children, Roger Glen Mayes and Christine Mayes Alvey and 1 great grandchild.
Services are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY with interment in Rosebud Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 AM Thursday until service time at the funeral home.
