Andrew Thomas (Tom) Johnson, Jr.

Andrew Thomas (Tom) Johnson, Jr., age 60,of Nashville, TN died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at VUMC in Nashville, Tenn. He was born June 27, 1950 in Hopkinsville , KY. He was preceded in his death by his parents, Tom and Marjorie Johnson of Marion , KY. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Fitzgerald Johnson, sister June Robinette of Lexington , KY. , brother Bob Johnson (Linda) of Nashville , sister-in-law Patsy Fitzgerald Coleman (Elton), eight nieces and nephews and his beloved cats Steuben and Amber. Tom enjoyed and excelled in football at Lynch, KY and at Murray State (74) joining the M Club. Tom was a carpenter by trade and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Locals no. 225 and 357 and the United Mine Workers Association Local no. 7425 (Lynch,KY). Tom evolved into a master carpenter and enjoyed building cabinets in his later years.

Tom's career also included years of construction project supervision and later facilites maintenance . He enjoyed deer hunting on his farms in west Kentucky and crappie fishing with his friends on Lake Barkley and Percy Priest Lake . A Celebration of Life service will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Saturday, February 12th at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane , Nashville , TN.

A second Celebration of Life service will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Saturday, February 19th at Gilbert Funeral Home, Marion, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers please make Donation's to Crittenden County Animal Shelter,107 south main street, Marion, KY 42064.
