Alfred A. Benton, 83, of Middlesex, N.J., formerly of Marion, KY died March 7, 2013 at Salem Springlake Care Center in Salem, KY. He was a Korean War Veteran.
Surviving is his son, John Wayne Benton of Point Pleasant, N.J.; brother, Robert "Red" Benton of Marion, KY; sister, Doye Powell of Indiana; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdline Benton; sons, George Robert Benton, Wade Charles "Stretch" Benton and James Edward Benton; 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday at Union Cemetery in Marion, KY with interment to follow. The family will receive visitors from 9AM until 10:30 AM at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY.
Military Rites will be given at the cemetery.
