Ms. Alberta Partain Joiner

Alberta Partain Joiner, 92, of Herod, Il. Passed away on March 17, 2013 at Harrisburg Medical Center. She was born July 1, 1920 in Hardin County, IL. To Grover Allen Partain and Mabel Ferrell. On December 26, 1941 she married the love of her life, Oral Joiner, he preceded her on January 27, 1957. She was a member of Good Hope Church and a retired teacher.
She is survived by a Daughter: Carolyn and Bill Cox; Daughter: Marolyn Reed; Sister: Geneva Turpen; Sister: Madeline Sisk; Sister in Law: Jackie Hicks; Granddaughter: Rhonda and Kevin Dutton; Grandson: Tom and Jayne Reed; Grandson: Billy and Fredda Cox; Grandson: Tim and Jan Reed; 11 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Husband: Oral Joiner; Brother: Cletis Partain; Sister: Helene Robinson; and Son in Law: Steve Reed.

Hardin County Funeral Services, Cox Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday March 19, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 20, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. The Rev. Steve Dunn, Rev. Jerry Oxford, and Rev. Ben Taylor will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.
