James T. "Bud" Allen, 85, of the Mexico Community got his promotion into Heaven June 5, 2018 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Center in Paducah, KY. He was born August 18, 1932 in the Mexico Community . He was a member of Seven Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of almost 50 years, Wilma Allen of Mexico, KY.; sister, Barbara Allen of Colorado Springs, CO.; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Baker of Mexico, KY. and Susan Marie Jones of Clay, KY.; step daughters, Yetta (Jim) Freeman of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Cynthia Ann Tyson of Marion, KY.; son, James A. "Bert" (Marty) Allen of Jericho, VT.; grandchildren, Phillip Hinchee and Justin Baker both of Mexico, KY., Raichel Jones and Tyree Jones both of Clay, KY.; Scott (Stacy) Langston of Hot Springs, AR., Nickolas Allen of Oceanside, CA., Sean Allen, Logan Allen, Kelly Allen and Brendan Allen all of Jericho, VT.; great grandchildren, Wesley Hinchee of Mexico, KY. and Olivia Hinchee of Marion, KY.; brother-in-law, Delbert Robin of Denver, CO. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Ethel Allen; 1st wife and mother of Elizabeth Ann Baker and Susan Marie Jones, Betty Lou Allen and sisters, Mary Rose Smith, Dean McKinney and Rosemary Robin.
Services are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday June 9, 2018 at Seven Springs Baptist Church with interment in Mexico Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 PM Friday at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion, KY. and from 9 AM until service time Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Justin Baker, Wesley Hinchee, Grant Patton, Tyree Jones, Phillip Hinchee, Peyton Yates, Spencer Peercy and Landon Driver.
Officiating will be Bro. Austin Weist and Bro. Lonnie Knight.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Seven Springs Baptist Church.
