Barbara Ann Wingo, 84, of Golconda, IL died May 31, 2022 at Massac Memorial Hospital. She was founder and operator of the Anna Bixby Women's Center which supported victims of domestic violence and the homeless and was awarded the Sunshine Award and was the former owner of several Subways in Paducah, KY.
Survivors include her children, Tannette (John Calhoun) Wingo of Golconda, IL, Terrie (Wayne) Eichorn of Cave-In-Rock, IL, Vickie Malone of Galatia, IL and Michelle Hankins of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Chad Fricker, Kealey Staples, Kyle Eichorn, Kirsten (Alex) Ross and Lauren (Garrett) Holland; great grandchildren, Addi, Kensley and Corben Hobbs and Kyson and Ava Eichorn, Koralyn and Evelyn Ross and Finley Holland; brothers, Edward K. Downey and KIrk Downey; sister, Diane Hartman and nieces, Melissa Frailey and Michelle Oetjen and 63 foster children.
She was preceded in death by Nolan Wingo; parents, Edward K. and Irene Downey and nephew, Mike Downey.
Memorial services are scheduled for 1 PM Sunday June 5, 2022 at Hardin County Funeral Service. Visitation is scheduled for 11 AM Sunday until service time.
